Dad

Melancholy.  That is how I felt all day today and I couldn't put my finger on it.  Then it dawned on me.  Thirty years ago today my Dad passed away.

Once I had that figured out I was able to spend the rest of the day remembering the good times we had together.  The picture is of some place in northern Minnesota, a place he loved to come and vacation.  He would have enjoyed this drive or walk.

Miss you Dad, wish we could just sit down and talk.  We have so much to catch up on.

My mom and dad have been gone for many years, but I still catch myself talking to them every once in a while!

You lost your Dad too young--but spending the day thinking of him seems just the thing to do.

I know how it feels to miss your Dad. I miss mine, too. He would love that spot in your picture.
